Review – Pioneer Eclipse Floor Care System

Review – Pioneer Eclipse Floor Care System

Pioneer Eclipse was founded in 1978 by William Wilson. Since 1990 it has been owned by Amano (Japanese Corporation). My experience with Pioneer Eclipse cleaning chemicals started in 1998. I have to say that in the beginning i was not so sure but still i decided to give it a try. Most of the products i have used since then from their company are related to floor care. Here is what i think of some of their floor care products I and my company has been using in last years.

Hard Floor Care
Neutral cleaner (daily floor cleaning) – This is a great all around soap for being used in most types of auto scrubbers. Needs very small dilution but will still beat the most stubborn dirt. Pleasant fragrance is from this PH 7 floor soap that is good for almost all types of floors. It can sometimes be tricky to find the dilution for mopping but once figured out then there will be no problem with it.
Rebound (weekly deep cleaning or scrubbing before repolishing) – This is a good floor scrubbing chemical and excellent for maintaining the floor surface clean for a long time. I have found this chemical extremely useful to use as a scrubbing chemical to remove 1-3 layers of floor polish from the surface. Floor become matt when it is used with a deep scrub pad or floor stripping pad that make refinishing easy. Only downside about this product is that foam killer is almost at all times needed.
Formula X – UHP Floor Stripper – Floor stripping is never a easy task but this chemical has made this job almost as easy as it can be. The good think about this product is that it works fast and very effectively. In most cases it is necessary to strip 2 times to get desired result but as all of us know who do theese jobs every day then that is expected. They have a good spray foam stripper (Formula X Baseboard Gel Stripper)that will help a lot with stripping lines and stops left away. I would not recommend this product for stripping linoleum type of floors except with a a lot of CAUTION.
Prime Star Base Coat – Sealer – Sealing floors is very easy with this sealer. I have been using this sealer for linoleum, vinyl, PVC without any single problem for a long time. Good thing about this sealer is that you will in most cases only need one coat before applying the main polish on it.
Hard Floor Sealer – Good for tiles, stone floors, marble, granite etc. Is it very easy to remove this sealer away with the right chemicals. In most cases it is good to burnish the floor the day after. I highly recommend this product for various types of marble and granite floors.
Floor Matte – This is my favorite polish and for every day floor polishing this is it. This polish will simply do it on most everyday floors, specially in offices and institutions where normal shine is required. I would not say that this polish if matte unless only one coat is laid on. Once you put 2-3 coats the floor will shine. It can also be easily burnished for higher shine if required.
Equinox – One of the best polish out there for supermarkets or high traffic places. Can easily be repaired without floor stripping. For best results on store floors buff it with a propane burnishers but in other areas normal electric buffer will do.

Soon i will put in review about some of their amazing propane burnishers
